I know it’s been a while but that’s life for ya…
I’m in Sarajevo at the moment and loving every second of it. It’s been super relaxing and I’ve really gotten the rest that I needed to start the new year. Can’t believe this is the second to last day of the year.
2013 has been crazy. Some ups, some downs but all in all it’s been an exciting year. I’ve learned a lot, the biggest lesson is that I’ve decided to choose my company wisely. I don’t wanna spend another minute with people I don’t like nor do I care about. Why should I?! My time is precious and I wanna spend it with smart, classy, successful people and that’s what I’ll do from now on…
As much as I welcome change in my life some change isn’t good. This morning everybody at the office was invited to my bosses house for Christmas breakfast, like every other year. A few days before Christmas him and his wife invite us over and make us breakfast. And so they did this year as well. But we all found out it was the last year. My boss is gonna retire summer 2014. And I HATE it. I’ve been here for two years and three months and I’ve loved 99% of the time. Like every other job there are some hard times but the people here are great and we’ve worked thought it. On top of my boss retiring, three more people are leaving. Two are retiring and one is having a baby. That’s cool and I’m happy for her but I’m gonna miss her as well. Her and I are the two youngest here and we’ve bonded in the last few years since we’ve been here. We started on the same day.
Anyway, I wish them all the best but I’m gonna miss them as well. I don’t think working here is gonna be the same or as good as it is now, once they’re gone.
I love my job, but the question is how long will I be here??? Especially since four of my favourite people are leaving within the next six months…
My weekend started with a very chill friday afternoon. After work and a visit to the Dr because of my back, that took forever I just sat at home watching Homeland. Absolutely obsessed with the show. I just started season 3 last night. This morning a read a spoiler for the ending. LAME!
Saturday my aunt, cousin, his wife and their baby came to visit. It was a lot of fun having them. Baby A is so cute and super smart. Love the little muffin. When they left around 6PM I cleaned up around the house and then just watched Homeland. Sunday started off with a sleep in until 9 then I got up, took a walk, came home, had breakfast and it was Homeland time again. Around 3PM Ami came over and we just sat there talking for hours about life. When she left I watched a few episodes of Homeland and then went to bed.
This morning from 8AM to 1PM I had a meeting, then went to work. I just got home, I’m gonna do some laundry while watching Homeland before bed.
As you are reading this I’m at a Christmas dinner with my co workers. And this is what I’m wearing. Originally I was gonna wear a red skirt with a black top and boots but I couldn’t find the skirt anywhere so I had to go with this, last-minute. I’m wearing my hair in a bun on the side and my makeup is very light. Got very many compliment on my makeup already!
Gave my blog a little update for the new year…I hope you like it as much as I do! I thought it was time. I’ve been blonde for months with an old picture in my header. New year, new header and signature!
You can never have enough perfumes, I think. Therefore I have quite a few. A few weeks ago I was sent sample of these two perfumes among others and now I want them. It’s the Givenchy Dahlia Noir and Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline.
So, I don’t really celebrate Christmas the way a christian does but I still put up a tree, decorate my house, and buy Christmas gifts for a few people. This year I’ve been super stressed about Christmas shopping. I don’t know what to get people and I’ve also not had time to go and look around the stores. Haven’t been shopping in a while. Well, a few weeks but for me that’s a long time. Finally today I’ve started to look around and found a few things…
This weekend I went back home for a birthday party. It was my old friends 30th birthday. By old I don’t mean she’s old because she’s 30 but because I’ve known her since I was 9, almost 20 years. We’ve been through a lot together but being there for the big moments means a lot. I was there for her 18th birthday. The day she got married, her babyshower. Yeah, all the big milestones in her life. And this weekend was no exception. Of course I was gonna be there. Almost died getting there but in the end it was all worth it. This weekend a huge storm hit and driving there and back wasn’t the easiest thing to do but I was super careful and after all, I’ve driven on Swedish roads for 10 years, I know how it is. All in all, a great weekend with family and friends, old and new!!!
I hate this, I really do. Being sick and not being able to do stuff kills me. LOL. Yesterday I made myself go to work. Sat here all day and tried my very best. Made it through the day. Picked up some food on the way home and after dinner I pulled out all my Christmas and New Years decorations and decorated my house. It was fun. Love the red lights. I’ll snap some pictures to show you. This morning I was at work by 7.20, that’s a good indication of me feeling much better. This weekend I’m supposed to go back to my hometown to hang out with friends and attend a birthday party for two 30-year-olds. BUT, there is a storm warning and I might just stay home. I do not want to be out on these Swedish roads during a storm, trust me!
