I spent the weekend in Gothenburg with my bff Dina and her sister Ida, my new bff. You know when you immediately click with someone, yeah, that happened. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not surprised at all!!!
Anyway, for the first time in months I decided to take the train as I had a lot of things to do and that would give me the time to do it. There was a 30 minute delay, as usual when I’m going anywhere with public transportation. When we finally took off I couldn’t bother doing any work so I just watched Gossip Girl. Hella late I know! Got to Gothenburg around 8.30 and met up with Dina at the train station with my luggage in tow. We then went to a Turkish restaurant called Tara’s. After a lovely dinner and great conversation we took the bus to Dina and Ida’s place. Me and Dina stayed up and chatted for a while and then went to bed. Woke up pretty early Saturday morning and had a lovely breakfast before getting ready and heading to the park. I brought my computer to work but we didn’t get much done as the sun was shining really bright and I couldn’t see anything. So, we just sat there, chatted, ate ice cream and enjoyed the great weather. We then decided to rent bikes and bike around the park before heading into the city for a sushi dinner. Well, for some reason we couldn’t rent any bikes because the damn machine didn’t accept our credit cards. So there were was a change of plans. We went back to the city and had a very early dinner and then hit the shops. Yes, we decided on an impromptu shopping trip and it was fun. I only got a few things but Dina on the other hand, she went crazy! Everything she picked up was a hit thought and she looked great in it. After spending some cash we went back home, changed and headed back into the city for a movie night. We saw The Other Woman and it was super funny. We couldn’t breathe at times from laughing so hard. When the movie ended we took a walk and stopped by a restaurant to say hi to Dina and Ida’s friend M. She was absolutely stunning and looked exactly like her pictures that I’ve seen. I would have recognized here anywhere in a crowd. I even told her that if I had seen her around town on my own I would be like, ‘I know you!’ After that we ran into some more people the girls knew but ultimately decided to just go home because all three of us were tired, some more than others. (Ida, I’m talking about you 😉 ) Sunday morning we woke up before 9AM and went straight to work. Setting up an office on the kitchen table. Dina and I worked intensively for hours and got everything done. We then had breakfast for lunch and after that got ready and left for the train station again. There we met up with my girls Aida and Adla for a quick drink at Starbucks and then I had to leave. They all said I should move there but I’m not so sure about that…I like my peaceful life here.
After getting home and literally leaving my bag at the door I grabbed my car keys and turned around again. I went to my grandparents house for dinner. After dinner me and my granny went shopping for kitchen appliances because the store was open until 10PM. I got back home around 9PM and went straight to bed.
That was a summary of my lovely weekend with lovely people…hope you had a great one too!!!
