Most of you know by now that Primark has it’s own range of beauty products. And while I was in London I picked up a few pieces to try. Especially because I had read that they were good.
Among other things I got this 8 HOUR DEEP HYDRATING CREAM with argan oil. And let me tell you, it’s really good. Or should I say, was really good because I’ve run out of it. In the winter time I get dry patches, especially my cheeks and putting this cream on before going to bed every night has really helped. I usually use a Nivea face cream that I love but this Primark one, considering the price, was pretty good too.
I know people always say if the price is high the quality is better and I just want to point out that that isn’t always the case.
Do you have any budget tips? What is something I need to try?
I usually only post about products I actually like and would recommend for you. But, this time I have to warn you about a product I was really excited about. It’s a Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner. I got it while I was away because I had forgotten my favorite lip liner, a Rimmel one that is now discontinued. I was actually looking for a similar one color-wise and this was the closest one to it, that’s why I got it. I was hoping it would be a good alternative to my Rimmel lip liner.
Oh boy was I disappointed. First, the tip broke the first time I was applying it and then, I couldn’t sharpen it. In the end I was able to do so but the liner itself keeps breaking. I think the reason for that it that it feels very dry. Also, the color was much more an orange tone than pink. It looks like it might be a nude pink color that matches the skin but I couldn’t really match it to my skin at all, even if i rubbed it a little.
So, this i a product that really isn’t worth getting. Spend your money on something else.
This past week has been a blessing. I got to spend it with some awesome people doing something absolutely amazing. We visited orphanages and children’s homes in Bosnia. I love giving back to the children because they don’t expect much, just love. I wish I could show you every single one of their beautiful faces but I’m not allowed to post any pictures of them. In the meantime, enjoy these pictures of the scenery and me and my friends.
I am so sick and tired of skinny girls saying stuff about curvy women. Cheryl who used to be in this UK girl group called Girls Aloud said this after being criticized for being ‘too skinny’ :
‘It’s crazy double standards. You’d never be allowed to say to somebody, “Oh, you look a bit fat.” And being overweight is unhealthy – it’s actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look “curvy” or “great”,’ she points out. ‘But you know what? After this length of time, there’s nothing I can hear about myself that I haven’t already heard.’
Sure, she’s allowed to think this and even say it. BUT, I hardly believe a curvy girl called her ‘too skinny’ or anything along those lines. What I’m trying to say is just because someone called you something you didn’t like you don’t have to twist it and turn it around on other people.
You found it hurtful, so why be hurtful to someone else.
I’m literally sick and tired of the body issues people have. Let people be the way they are, no shape is better than the other. And being called skinny doesn’t give you the right to call out fat people just as it doesn’t give fat people the right to say anything to skinny people.
Let us all live and be happy with the way we look, there is already enough hate in the world. Why add to it???
Last weekend I got to go away with my sister and one of our best friends. We took a cruise over to Finland. Around 10 AM on Saturday morning we arrived in the port of Helsinki and got to spend the day there.
It’s been a while since I got to spend some quality time with these ladies and I loved every second of it.
I texted my mom and dad late Friday afternoon about them coming to visit me and they did. We spent a great evening together friday and Saturday we went shopping and to visit the grandparents.
Today I woke up before 7AM to get ready for a fun filled day in the swedish capital, Stockholm. A mere 1 h and 20 minutes later Dina and I were arriving at the station.
After a lunch meeting we went to a APU Network association dinner celebrating the Bosnian Independence Day. Because Dina is traveling tomorrow and I have a week full of meetings we had to get on a train back home at 7.30. The evening was a great success though! We got to meet some very successful and interesting people. Aida Hadžialić being on of them. She is a Swedish politician and the Minister of Education. At 28 she is the youngest minister Swedish history and she just happenes to be Bosnian aswell.
My lip combo today is Lumene Natural Code lipstick in the shade 3 Nude Beige with IsaDora Express Star gloss over it, it’s in the shade 54 Reflecting Bloom. I have the full size version but I like the travel size better because it’s easy to bring along for touch ups during the day.
