Hello my lovely friends

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I know I did. This weekend was my very talked about birthday party, the big one. I know I’ve a few smaller get together’s. It was an awesome party and all my faves were there.

I got some amazing things that I’m very very thankful for and I’ll show you all what it is, probably in a YouTube video over on my channel.

But the coolest gift is a trip! I’m going somewhere in the middle of February with my sister. The gift is from her, Ami and Dina, but there is a catch. I have no idea where. I just got instructions on what to pack and where to be at a certain time. That is all. I hate surprises so this is literally killing me. I hate the wait and the suspense. I even offered to pay people off for them to tell me. But nobody would. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see…

Sorry if there is so much talk about my birthday here on the blog but I’m in the middle of planning and also I’m super excited for it. Although I already have a dress to wear I can’t help but look online for dresses because it is an excuse to shop.

The invitations for my big birthday bash were sent out this morning. Only one person has seen them so far, Dina, because she helped me with them. They are so me…in so many different way and were made with love. All my favourite people are getting them in the mail this week or the beginning of next!!!

I’m so thankful for all the amazing and wonderful people I have in my life.

My weekend started of by me leaving work and going to Ami’s house. Her cousins were also there and us ladies had a girl/spa night. So much fun with a lot of laughing and fun conversation. Ended the evening with us looking through old photo albums. Our families are connected in more ways than I can explain with a very long history.

Saturday I slept in and then went to get my car sorted. That took pretty much rest of the day and in the late afternoon I headed to the ‘grandparents’ house where I had dinner and then got ready for the party. I promised I’d help out at the door and we, Irma, S and A ended up spending the night there. pretty much. We ran in a few times to dance but that was it. It was too hot inside.

Sunday I spend shopping with an old colleague of mine. I left my house around 11am and got home around 6pm. I’ve spent the evening in work related calls, answering work related emails and watching YouTube videos. It is now after 12AM and I’m gonna take a shower before bedtime.

The best weekend ever!!!

With friends and family around, that’s when I’m the happiest!

Friday afternoon my mom, dad sister and aunt finally came to visit. It had been almost 2 months since I’ve seen them last! We started the weekend off with coffee at my place before heading to Västerås! The ladies along with my grandma, Dina, Ami and some other dear and familiar faces saw the play Ja, Mahalusa. It was super funny and we all enjoyed it…!!! After the play we went for some coffee. Saturday started off with a nice breakfast and then some shopping. Later that day we had lunch at my grandmas house and then picked up Dina and A then headed to my house where Ami and S were waiting. Pre-party while the ladies got ready and then we headed to Norrköping to see Dino Merlin…the king of Bosnian music. Such a fun night!!!! Sunday was a very lazy one considering we only got about 4 hours of sleep. Woke up just before Ami and her mom arrived. Ami cut my mom and dads hair while we all hung out. We threw together some lunch and after that everyone left. I was gonna go by Amis house that evening but I didn’t, I was too tired and went to bed around 9PM.

My friends and my family are the most important people in my life, without them life wouldn’t be worth living.

I’m old

So this weekend I went out with some girlfriends and we had fun. I came home around 3AM and went to bed after 4AM. Woke up the next day at 3.20PM…yes you read it right 3.20PM. My whole day was ruined because I had so many plans and things to do. Ended up laying in bed all day instead, well until 9PM and then I started cleaning. This morning it was really hard getting up because I didn’t go to bed until almost 4AM, I just wasn’t tired. This is a great reminder that I shouldn’t be going out, I’m way to old for it.

What I wore

Someone asked me what I wore to the event this weekend. I actually wore three outfits during the day and another one at the party.
The main one was this;

A black dress, how different! Right?! This is a dress I’ve only worn once, to my college graduation a few years ago! I still fits and I actually really liked it. Over it I wore a black and floral kimono, I had it for a while as well. The shoes are a pair of black pumps and they are new, or newerI got them back in February! I wore them to my sisters birthday dinner and they were super tight! I’ve worn them a few times since then around the house and for short periods of time. They are not tight anymore but they are very uncomfortable. And to think I bought them for my cousins wedding in July is crazy! I’m gonna need to wear something else.

I went to bed last night around 6PM and woke up 8AM this morning. Yeah, that’s how crazy my weekend was. Friday was chill with a dinner, like I told you in the post before this one. Saturday on the other hand. Well, it was an all nighter let me tell you that. Slept for like an hour after the after party and before breakfast. I had fun with my friends and all the new people I met.
