If you follow my blog you’ve read about a surprise trip I was given for my birthday. I only found out where I was going when I got to the airport early Thursday morning of last week. And just as I had guessed and hoped for, it was London.

I was going with my sister and one of my best friends lives there, so I know it was gonna be a great trip. What I didn’t know was that one of my other best friends would show up too. Actually I guessed someone else I knew was coming but I couldn’t ever guess it was Dina. Not that she wouldn’t do this for me but because it was Valentines Day weekend, and she made me believer she was spending it with her boyfriend. He even was in on it, texting me about restaurant ideas for V-day.

Hello my lovely friends

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I know I did. This weekend was my very talked about birthday party, the big one. I know I’ve a few smaller get together’s. It was an awesome party and all my faves were there.

I got some amazing things that I’m very very thankful for and I’ll show you all what it is, probably in a YouTube video over on my channel.

But the coolest gift is a trip! I’m going somewhere in the middle of February with my sister. The gift is from her, Ami and Dina, but there is a catch. I have no idea where. I just got instructions on what to pack and where to be at a certain time. That is all. I hate surprises so this is literally killing me. I hate the wait and the suspense. I even offered to pay people off for them to tell me. But nobody would. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see…

Birthday fun – Part One

Yesterday was my birthday and it was an awesome day! A lot of people sent me wonderful birthday messages and also flowers, a bunch of flowers. I went to work for a little while and brought my co-workers cake. A friend took me out to lunch and then last night I had some friends over. I knew they were coming over but I wasn’t ready for the surprise. When I opened the door they started singing and presented my with a cake with 30 candles on it. There were so many candles on it, it looking like a damn fire…LOL…I do have a video of it but I’m choosing not to post because I’m choosing to respect their privacy.

We had so much fun and they ended up staying until around 1AM.

This was only celebration number one. There will be a few more before the big party next weekend.

The invitations for my big birthday bash were sent out this morning. Only one person has seen them so far, Dina, because she helped me with them. They are so me…in so many different way and were made with love. All my favourite people are getting them in the mail this week or the beginning of next!!!

The planning for my birthday party is in full force, we got the venue, the music, the color theme and menu set. The guest list and and the invites plus some other details are gonna be finished this weekend. Really looking forward to it, can’t wait!!!

The big 3.0

So, as some of you might now I’m gonna be turning 30 years old at the beginning of 2015, more precisely January 7th. On January 17th I plan on having a birthday party. For the last few weeks I’ve been putting the planning off but now it’s back on as I’ve just confirmed Ado&Dino to play. Sure I know the guys and we’re friends but the fact that they are choosing to spend the evening making my party better is awesome!

It is now time to start the hardcore planning and getting the invites out ASAP. And because I’m having a lot of people out-of-town coming in for the party I need to deal with the sleeping arrangements as well. Thankfully I have some great people around me, willing to help.

The hardest part of this whole thing, for me, is the guest list. I’m a very social person and I have friends all over, some people might even be flying in from different countries for this party. I’ve chosen to invite only the people really close to me, that I talk to and that have been there for me. So if someone who thinks they’re getting an invite doesn’t, it shouldn’t be a total surprise to them.

As the new year approaches and the big milestone of turning 30 I’ve become less stressed about what people think of me and I’m living life for myself therefore I don’t have time for petty bs, to be honest with you. If you think I’ve done something to you that’s unfair it’s probably because it’s a reaction to something you did to me…But let’s all be grown up about every situation we enter and life will be great. I think we can all agree on that…

Now, let me think of the cake I want!!!

Birthday party

I went to bed Wednesday at 8PM or so, had a really bad headache and a fever. Woke up yesterday with a cold. Felt bad all day but in the evening I went to A’s house for a little birthday celebration. Forgot I was sick while hanging out with amazing people. Saturday is a do-over.
