So, as some of you might now I’m gonna be turning 30 years old at the beginning of 2015, more precisely January 7th. On January 17th I plan on having a birthday party. For the last few weeks I’ve been putting the planning off but now it’s back on as I’ve just confirmed Ado&Dino to play. Sure I know the guys and we’re friends but the fact that they are choosing to spend the evening making my party better is awesome!
It is now time to start the hardcore planning and getting the invites out ASAP. And because I’m having a lot of people out-of-town coming in for the party I need to deal with the sleeping arrangements as well. Thankfully I have some great people around me, willing to help.
The hardest part of this whole thing, for me, is the guest list. I’m a very social person and I have friends all over, some people might even be flying in from different countries for this party. I’ve chosen to invite only the people really close to me, that I talk to and that have been there for me. So if someone who thinks they’re getting an invite doesn’t, it shouldn’t be a total surprise to them.
As the new year approaches and the big milestone of turning 30 I’ve become less stressed about what people think of me and I’m living life for myself therefore I don’t have time for petty bs, to be honest with you. If you think I’ve done something to you that’s unfair it’s probably because it’s a reaction to something you did to me…But let’s all be grown up about every situation we enter and life will be great. I think we can all agree on that…
Now, let me think of the cake I want!!!
I can’t get this bag out of my head. It’s the Shield Collection by Sofia Al Asfoor. Because I have a bag and purse obsession and I get quite a few every year I said I wasn’t gonna buy any expensive bags during 2014 and get this one for myself for my 30th birthday! That didn’t work and I got a Céline Mini Luggage this spring, among other bags from Topshop, Zara, Parfois and Mango. Still want the Sofia Al Asfoor bag but in orange, for some strange reason. I can’t wait to go to Dubai and see this bag in real life. They are sold at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Burjuman Shopping Center and Galeries Lafayette in the Dubai mall.
Last night I came home around 8.45, was in a meeting until then. I was gonna go straight to bed but as usual I ended up doing some more work. I’m not writing this for you to feel sorry for me or praise me because I know we all do it. But when your dad […]
-We need old friends to help us grow old and new friends to help us stay young-
I’m spending this weekend with my sister and one of my best friends at her house. It’s her birthday tomorrow and the weekend is for us to enjoy each others company and to have a great time. Which I know we will. The beauty of being friends with someone is that they’ve been there with you through a lot, fun and sad times. They are part of memories that you cherish. Only a friends you’ve known for years can say ‘Remember when…?’ and in an instant you’re back to that point in life that seemed very distant at first but once mentioned you can remember it very clearly. You remember what you wore or where you were and what was said at that exact time. I’m looking forward to these moment with my new friends as well.
Since my birthday is at the beginning of the year and it’s always a stressful time therefore I chose to have my birthday party a little later than my actual birthday. I was also away for my birthday so this turned out perfect. This meant I had a few parties/dinners and I got to spend my birthday with a lot of people who I love.
But this weekend was the big party with all my friends getting together. We started at 7PM with a dinner and then went on til around 3.30AM I think. It was a great time, for me and all my friends. Everyone was in a great mood. The drinks were flowing, we we’re dancing and I was truly happy to be there in the moment with all the people I genuinely love. Some of them are new friends but when you see a guy that makes your friend really, really happy you can’t help but love him too.
Once again I’d like to thank everyone for coming out. Some of them had to travel a long way to be there. I appreciate it and the love I felt was overwhelming at times…
I hurried home from work to change and head out to meet up with my two friend. Two of the funniest people I know. We always have fun together. Lots of laughs. The choice of restaurant last night is something we can discuss. It was bad, really bad. And the waiters hated us. First we were hella loud and obnoxious, as usual. And on top of that, we stayed hella late. They were closing up as we were leaving. Tonight is a chill night and I finally have time to unpack. Tomorrow there is a soccer tournament, lunch with Nejra and a visit to my grandparents on the list.
