Hello and welcome back to a new and improved Elvisa and http://www.ellviisa.com!
It’s time for me to get back into this world and I hope you tag along with me on the journey of a new job, new adventures and a new year…
Today was a busy day at work and after that I went to the mall to do some ‘Christmas’ shopping! I say ‘Christmas’ because I don’t really celebrate, because I’m Muslim. But I do like giving gift and where I’m from we give New Year presents instead of Christmas presents. So yeah…you get the point…LOL
Anyway, I picked up the last few ones I needed to get then stopped by my grandparents house for dinner before coming home and wrapping them all.

Put the ones I’m not giving away just yet under the tree
Hello
Between the ER visits and feeling really bad this weekend I also did something fun. I put up my Christmas tree. I usually don’t have a tree because I always go away for the holidays but this year I’m not doing that so I wanted one.
I wanted to create a bit of a winter wonderland so I chose a white tree and my dad helped my decorate it.
I’ve started looking for shoes to wear on NYE even though I don’t know where I’ll be yet. I have a few options and one of them is London! Although I think I’ll keep it closer to home for the first time in 13 years. I’ve traveled every year for new years for the last 13 years…

As much as I welcome change in my life some change isn’t good. This morning everybody at the office was invited to my bosses house for Christmas breakfast, like every other year. A few days before Christmas him and his wife invite us over and make us breakfast. And so they did this year as well. But we all found out it was the last year. My boss is gonna retire summer 2014. And I HATE it. I’ve been here for two years and three months and I’ve loved 99% of the time. Like every other job there are some hard times but the people here are great and we’ve worked thought it. On top of my boss retiring, three more people are leaving. Two are retiring and one is having a baby. That’s cool and I’m happy for her but I’m gonna miss her as well. Her and I are the two youngest here and we’ve bonded in the last few years since we’ve been here. We started on the same day.
Anyway, I wish them all the best but I’m gonna miss them as well. I don’t think working here is gonna be the same or as good as it is now, once they’re gone.
I love my job, but the question is how long will I be here??? Especially since four of my favourite people are leaving within the next six months…
As you are reading this I’m at a Christmas dinner with my co workers. And this is what I’m wearing. Originally I was gonna wear a red skirt with a black top and boots but I couldn’t find the skirt anywhere so I had to go with this, last-minute. I’m wearing my hair in a bun on the side and my makeup is very light. Got very many compliment on my makeup already!
So, I don’t really celebrate Christmas the way a christian does but I still put up a tree, decorate my house, and buy Christmas gifts for a few people. This year I’ve been super stressed about Christmas shopping. I don’t know what to get people and I’ve also not had time to go and look around the stores. Haven’t been shopping in a while. Well, a few weeks but for me that’s a long time. Finally today I’ve started to look around and found a few things…
