I had my friends Dina and Ado over here for a bite to eat this evening. I’m surprised Ado even showed up because there are rumors flying around that we don’t even like each other. This is super funny to me…
As soon as they arrived we went to get pizza and then back home. I’m still super sick but it was nice to leave the house for a few minutes as the restaurant is just around the corner from my house. Back home we ate and had some cake before we all fell asleep on the sofa. Dina worked all day and then took the train here, it’s almost a four-hour journey. Ado didn’t sleep last night and neither did I because I’m sick. So yeah, a nap was really nice. They were considering staying the night for a while but because it’s Ados birthday on Sunday and they have plans tomorrow they went home.
I got the most beautiful birthday gift, a pair of Guess earrings that I’m absolutely in love with. Not gonna show any of my gift until my big party next weekend. Then I’ll do a post/video.
They also got me this beautiful cake, Visa is my nickname!
And since it is Ado’s birthday on Sunday, we had to sing happy birthday…I’m sure he wanted to cover his ears as he is the singer and we’re definitely not…
Last night I felt a bit sick and now I’m feeling even worse. I was a work today and managed to fight through it. I’m going away this weekend and I have to leave at 9AM tomorrow morning so I’m hoping this is a 24 hour thing and that it will go away. I just can’t be sick right now. I’m about to take a shower and then go to bed and it’s only 7.45PM. I’m gonna try to sleep the sickies away…
Yes, finally!!! Can’t even believe it’s been two weeks since I got back home from vacation! This weekend might be a working one but it’s still with one of my best friends and we get along so well being co-workers aswell. I also can’t wait to start a new project with my other bff Ado, it’s gonna be a fun one, I’m sure of it!!!
Thursday nights and Fridays are always busy for me, last night I had a meeting/dinner with co workers then I went home to pack. Thank God I’m sharing a room with BFF at the hotel we’re staying at and I only have to bring selected items. You all should see our SMS conversations, they’re hilarious! ‘You bring shampoo, I’ll bring toothpaste’
And during lunch break I had to pack the last few bits because I fell asleep last night. I’m getting in the car and leaving soon. Can’t wait to see all the lovely people this weekend. There’s gonna be a lot of work but also a lot of fun.
Speaking of packing, makes me thing of clothes. Would you guys ever wear this shirt Rita Ora is wearing in the picture below?
So, I live in Sweden a country where we don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving. Some might, but that’s just if they have some American family or because it’s fun. But in general it’s not a holiday here. But, everywhere you look there is a Black Friday sale. I don’t even know how many Black Friday adverts I’ve seen today or gotten an email about. Some are from american stores like Forever 21. Other are from Swedish stores that I know for sure don’t exist anywhere else. It’s all about the hype I guess…
I spent the weekend with a lot of my favourite people.
Friday around 3PM I left work and drove about two hours to meet up with my sister, her BF and a friend. We started off with a little bit of shopping and then dinner. Sushi! You guys know I love sushi. After dinner we had about two hours until the movie so we went to a cafe and got some hot chocolate. All of a sudden, out of nowhere B and G, two friends I haven’t seen in a really long time showed up and sat down with us. Catching up was a lot of fun. Can’t wait to see them again. After that we went and saw Hunger Games: Catching Fire and I absolutely loved it. I liked the first movie, but loved the second one…soooo good. By the time I walked in to my mom and dads house it was almost midnight.
Saturday started very early. I woke up at 7AM and med up with Ada at 7.30. We took a short walk together before she had to head to work. Very nice catching up with her as well. I went back home and sat with mom and dad for a while, while they had coffee. Then I went to the car wash and got my baby clean. Picked up my sister och went to mom and dad’s again for breakfast. Got ready and then went shopping. Picked up a few things I might show you in a haul. After shopping we headed to Oskarshamn, a town of the east coast of Sweden. It was my aunts 60th birthday. We arrived there around 3PM I think. First coffee and then a late lunch before a ton of chill and playing with the kids. Did my little cousins make up for a performance she was doing that evening. She’s 10 so it was very little and light, with a white eyeshadow. Sister did her hair. We went to the venue around 7pm. All of us but my dad and uncle. Old men, you know. LOL
There was a party after and we ended up staying after 11PM, lots of dancing and fun with the family. We requested a few songs for my aunt and the band, who were really good, shouted her out. She was embarrassed and wanted to go home but also said it was a great and memorable birthday! I’m happy she had fun.
Sunday we woke up pretty early around 8.30, the kids had football practice and left around 9.15. My cousin, her husband and I just sat around the table and talked. Around 11 the rest of the family showed up and we had some coffee and dessert before we headed back home. Stopped by a small shopping mall on out way back and did some shopping. Dropped my parents and sister off and drove home. Got in around 6PM. Unpacked, took a shower, watched a movie and went to bed around 9.30.
Great but short weekend. Wish I could have spent a little more time with my family because I don’t get to see them often. They live almost 4 hours away!
Worked 7am-6pm today. Went home with just enough time to change and be back by 6.40 to meet up with Ami and the whole gang for some bowling and dinner!
Even though I was tired and thought about staying home I’m glad I went. Had a blast and I don’t remember the last time I laughed this much!
The crew tonight was amazing!
Here are some pictures:
All nails are still there
Had fried ice cream for desert, not the best thing I’ve ever had but it was ok
So, it just dawned on me that it’s October 1st today which means it’s only three months left of 2013. How crazy is that? Time really flies… This also means that in a little over three months I’m gonna be 29, that’s even crazier!!! 2013 has been a year with a lot of ups and downs, personally for me. I’ve learned a lot about myself and what I want in life. I’ve let go of some people I was really close with and also gotten to know some new and amazing people. For that I’m grateful!
But, like I said…three months left and I’m hoping it’s all uphill from now on, aBd!!!
What are you doing this Friday night?!? Oh, what am I doing?! Just packing for another weekend away working with BHUF. Once again I’m gonna be close to home but too far to make the drive back and go there in the morning again! So it’s another hotel weekend for me. Don’t get me wrong it’s nice and all but damn I’m tired of packing and I’m one of those girls who can’t pack light. I always bring a lot of stuff but that’s because I like being comfortable wherever I am. And I like my own stuff around me!
Earlier today I met up with Ami, had a bite to eat and then walked around the mall for a bit. It’s the shopping festival weekend and we got our VIP bracelets for 20% off in every store…
This is what the sky looked like tonight during sunset
