The weekend

I spent the weekend spring cleaning except for a movie date, we saw Insurgent, with N and lunch at the grandparents house on Sunday. The struggle is real, let me tell you. I have way more clothes, bags, shoes than I can fit in my tiny walk-in-closet.

How was your weekend?

Selfies while I waited for my friend to pick me up

Flaws and all

Today has been a super busy day! Started my work day before 7AM and left the office around 6PM. Just in time to go home and change before a special screening of The Boy Next Door. It wasn’t the best movie I’ve seen, actually it was only ok.
After the movies I got my hair done as I’m traveling in a few days and I wanted fresh color. Still a red head!
Since coming home I’ve been packing the makeup I’m bringing with me and some clothes. Nowhere near to being done anytime soon! I mean I have to pack tomorrow so it might be a late night…

Good night!

Fresh out of the shower/No make up…face

Still standing

So, this not feeling well thing kind of is my best friend at the moment. I took a shower and that woke me up. I actually dyed my eyebrows and painted my nail with Essie Leading Lady which is a burgundy red with glitter. I also cleaned my most used makeup brushes, most of them are Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman.. Got them in London and I love them. There are also a few Eco Tools brushes that I use on a daily basis.

Now I’m gonna get in bed and watch a movie on Netflix. I’m thinking What happens in Vegas with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Have you guys see it?

And I did all this while listening to this song on repeat.

The Maze Runner

Have you guys seen the Maze Runner with Dylan O’Brien from Teen Wolf? I’ve been meaning to see it ever since it came out in theaters but never got around to it. Well, it is now out on DVD and I finally watched it this evening. I haven’t read the book but was excited for the movie. But I must admit I was disappointed, I just didn’t find the movie that interesting and the whole story was just a bit too much at times. Almost glad I didn’t watch it at the movies because to be honest I was reading the Daily Mail while it was playing in the background.

What did you think?

Mockingjay – Part One

Spontaneously I went to see the new Hunger Games movie Mockingjay – Part One with a friend. So good, I loved it! Although I’m gonna stop reading the book. Much better not having read it to watch the movie play out.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

The movie premieres next week and I can’t wait. I’ve told Ami that she needs to get ready by watching the previous movies because we’re going. I’ve likes the movies so far and the books are good as well. Audio books via Audible is a fave at the moment. Because I travel I lot I tend to need something to do so I don’t get bored and I like Audible for that. Right now you get a free book when you sign up so go do that and enjoy!

So, I first saw Divergent when it came out. Now that it’s out on DVD I chose to see it again. For some reason it was so much better this time and I’ve decided to actually read the books. As of right now I’m gonna skip the first one which is Divergent and start reading Insurgent. The movie for Insurgent is gonna premiere in March of 2015. I simply can’t wait that long to see what happens next.

The wolf of Wall Street

So, I finally got around to watching the movie The wolf on Wall Street. Or at least half of it. I’m glad i didn’t spend the money to see it at the movies because quite frankly, it sucked. There isn’t one thing I liked about it. Not even Leonardo DiCaprio because that was a roll I didn’t want to see him play. And I say that even thought I’m not a huge fan of him either way but I think he made a poor choice deciding to do this movie.

What did you guys think of it?

So last night I watched Divergent with A. Reading what’s it’s about I wouldn’t have picked it myself but he insisted. I have to admit that it was a really good movie. And it didn’t hurt that the lead Theo James is super hot!!

Need for Speed

Last night my friend Nejra and I went to see the movie Need for Speed. I love the Fast and Furious series so this one was right up my alley. I freakin’ loved it! The cast was amazing too, Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots who I’m not familiar with but she did an outstanding job, Scott Mescudi but you might know him as Day N’ Night rapper Kid Cudi, Rami Malek from Twilight-Breaking Dawn and Dakota Johnson who’s in Fifty Shades of Grey, to name a few.
