Last weekend I got to go away with my sister and one of our best friends. We took a cruise over to Finland. Around 10 AM on Saturday morning we arrived in the port of Helsinki and got to spend the day there.
It’s been a while since I got to spend some quality time with these ladies and I loved every second of it.
With friends and family around, that’s when I’m the happiest!
Friday afternoon my mom, dad sister and aunt finally came to visit. It had been almost 2 months since I’ve seen them last! We started the weekend off with coffee at my place before heading to Västerås! The ladies along with my grandma, Dina, Ami and some other dear and familiar faces saw the play Ja, Mahalusa. It was super funny and we all enjoyed it…!!! After the play we went for some coffee. Saturday started off with a nice breakfast and then some shopping. Later that day we had lunch at my grandmas house and then picked up Dina and A then headed to my house where Ami and S were waiting. Pre-party while the ladies got ready and then we headed to Norrköping to see Dino Merlin…the king of Bosnian music. Such a fun night!!!! Sunday was a very lazy one considering we only got about 4 hours of sleep. Woke up just before Ami and her mom arrived. Ami cut my mom and dads hair while we all hung out. We threw together some lunch and after that everyone left. I was gonna go by Amis house that evening but I didn’t, I was too tired and went to bed around 9PM.
My friends and my family are the most important people in my life, without them life wouldn’t be worth living.
I am the happiest when I’m around people. People that love me and care about me, people I love and care about! Like my family and my friends. People I’ve known a long time. Like when I’m holding my cousins little girl with so much love in my heart or a little girl who belongs to a woman I’ve known for almost 20 years, a childhood friend of mine. That I’ve been through a lot with and seen her grow into the woman she is today, get married and have a baby. I’m happy when me, my sister and my brother-in-law are sitting in their living room at 2AM hysterically laughing over something silly. I’m happy when I see my mom laughing at her aunt who looks just like my grandfather did. I’m happy when my dad says he doesn’t worry about his job situation going on right now. I’m happy when my friend, even though she’s going through a death in the family still smiles through the pain.
This afternoon I’m picking up my grandma and grandpa and we’re heading south. A two hour drive to see my mom, dad, sissy, brother in-law, auntie and friends. Looking forward to it. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve been there and also it’s a weekend off, so no quick stops and travelling the next day. Happy Happy Happy! Saturday afternoon is a birthday party and Sunday is gonna be pretty chill!!!
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Seeing your friends hurt is worse than actually hurting. Especially if this friend is like the little sister you never had and you’ve known her since she was a little three-year old girl. AND on top of that you’re 2 hours away from each other. Yesterday was a day I wished more than anything I could give her a hug and tell her I love her…
She’s strong, stronger than a lot of people I know!!!
