A weekend of love

I texted my mom and dad late Friday afternoon about them coming to visit me and they did. We spent a great evening together friday and Saturday we went shopping and to visit the grandparents.

Today I woke up before 7AM to get ready for a fun filled day in the swedish capital, Stockholm. A mere 1 h and 20 minutes later Dina and I were arriving at the station.

After a lunch meeting we went to a APU Network association dinner celebrating the Bosnian Independence Day. Because Dina is traveling tomorrow and I have a week full of meetings we had to get on a train back home at 7.30. The evening was a great success though! We got to meet some very successful and interesting people. Aida Hadžialić being on of them. She is a Swedish politician and the Minister of Education. At 28 she is the youngest minister Swedish history and she just happenes to be Bosnian aswell.

What did you guys do?

Crazy 24 hours

The last 24 hours have been crazy. Started last night with me turning my apartment upside down looking for my glasses. For those of you wondering if I found them I sorry that I have to say that I didn’t. And when Dina arrived around 9 PM the search continued. I even stopped by my office.

Then, what started as a girls night ended up as a mini party. We ended up going to bed after 2AM. At 7.15 Dina ran into my room in a panic screaming we had overslept. The alarm was set to 6.30, or at least that’s what we tought. We got ready in 30 minutes and got in a taxi and headed to the station to get the train to Stockholm. Thank God J was going and getting on the train 20 minutes later and could pick up breakfast for us all.

Our workday in Stockholm has been good. Well, everything but the food. The tagline for this weekend is ‘Don’t mess with a Bosnian mans food.’

We decided to skip the dinner as the same food was being served and got some Thai food. We are now back at the hotel, in our PJ’s about to watch the Sweden-Montenegro game.

Have a good evening lovelies!

Great weekend

Hello you lovely people, hope you all had a great weekend, I know I did.

Started off by working late on a friday night and then finished packing and headed to my grandparents house. My grandma misunderstood and thought I was coming over around 3PM and had been waiting since. She was super happy to see me when I showed up around 7PM. I had a bit to eat and then parked myself on the couch with them watching Let’s Dance. Went to bed around 11PM and could not fall asleep. I think it was the coffee I had around 8.30PM that was messing with me. Saturday I woke up around 8.30, had a coffee and breakfast and around 10 I headed to the mall to pick up a few things before I left for Stockholm.

Arrived at Azerina’s house around 12 and got to see a friend from high school. After a while we went to the store and in the meantime my sistaah had arrived and had to wait for us in front for the house for about 20 minutes. Seeing her face was hilarious when we finally showed up, we told her we’d be there in 5-10 minutes. We had a quick lunch and then headed out to Täby Centrum, a big mall. My main attraction was Sephora. I needed to pick up a few things. Ended up not buying it because I’m going to London soon and it’s so much cheaper there. Back home we got ready to dinner at Piren, a restaurant right by the water in Kungsholmen. Food was delicious, I had a salad witch buffalo mozzarella. YUM! Went to bed around 1AM. Yesterday (Sunday) we woke up around 7AM and had coffee and breakfast before 9AM I think. We joked around that we we’re acting like a bunch of old ladies. We chilled at home all day until 1PM when we went to Söder for a lunch with friends, including Linda, all the way from Sarajevo. It was great seeing her, we get to see each other again, very soon. When I go to Bosnia beginning of June.

All in all it was a very chill and relaxing weekend with amazing people around me. What more can a girl ask for!?

Time for a break…

Last night I came home around 8.45, was in a meeting until then. I was gonna go straight to bed but as usual I ended up doing some more work. I’m not writing this for you to feel sorry for me or praise me because I know we all do it. But when your dad […]

Friends for life

-We need old friends to help us grow old and new friends to help us stay young-

I’m spending this weekend with my sister and one of my best friends at her house. It’s her birthday tomorrow and the weekend is for us to enjoy each others company and to have a great time. Which I know we will. The beauty of being friends with someone is that they’ve been there with you through a lot, fun and sad times. They are part of memories that you cherish. Only a friends you’ve known for years can say ‘Remember when…?’ and in an instant you’re back to that point in life that seemed very distant at first but once mentioned you can remember it very clearly. You remember what you wore or where you were and what was said at that exact time. I’m looking forward to these moment with my new friends as well.

Saturday & Sunday

I’ve had a very busy but really fun weekend.

Started saturday with nice breakfast and then got my car detalied…it’s now super clean!!! After that my dad and I went shopping and then home for a few hours. I made us lunch, cleaned up, got ready and then we left for Stockholm. We went to our cousins house and spent a few hours there. Watched the Klitschko-Povetkin fight and honestly I can’t believe Povetkin made it all 12 rounds. It looked like he was going down in the sixth or seventh round but he stood up and fought. Good match! But of course Wladimir Klitschko won.

As soon as it ended my dad and I left for the airport. We went to pick up my grandparents. Came home around 2AM and fell asleep sometimes after 3AM.

Woke up around 10AM Sunday morning and had a long breakfast with my dad before he left. I cleaned up around the house and then went to see my grandparents for a few hours. I love them so much, they are 79 years old and very open-minded about life. Makes for an easy relationship. I came home around 4PM and spend the whole afternoon getting everything ready that I need to pack…

Friday night

Another friday night spent at home and this time because I’m sick. I’ve been sick for days and I can’t wait for it to go away. Tomorrow we planned on going to Stockholm for the Jelena Karleusa concert but I just can’t. I don’t have the energy to do anything. I just wanna lay in bed and watch movies and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!
