Here is my throwback picture, to this February when I was in London. A surprise trip for my 30th birthday!
❤
I’ve been offered a job in London! The same guy has been calling me for the last two years. The job itself is great although it requires me to travel up to three times a week, within Europe. And I just don’t know if I’m OK with that. I’m 30 now, I feel like it’s time for me to settle down and be in one place. Moving to London and having to travel that much just means I won’t be. I’d be on a plane and at work more than home. A lot of my relationships suffer from me being away, even now. I don’t get to see my family and friends nearly as much as I’d like too.
Yet I feel like I need a challenge in life, to keep things spicy and interesting for me…
If you follow my blog you’ve read about a surprise trip I was given for my birthday. I only found out where I was going when I got to the airport early Thursday morning of last week. And just as I had guessed and hoped for, it was London.
I was going with my sister and one of my best friends lives there, so I know it was gonna be a great trip. What I didn’t know was that one of my other best friends would show up too. Actually I guessed someone else I knew was coming but I couldn’t ever guess it was Dina. Not that she wouldn’t do this for me but because it was Valentines Day weekend, and she made me believer she was spending it with her boyfriend. He even was in on it, texting me about restaurant ideas for V-day.
Hello to all the new readers and followers. And welcome!
But, as some of you might know, I was given a secret trip as a birthday present. That trip is now only a week away. Until now I’ve been sure it was either London or Sarajevo, leaning more towards Sarajevo but now I’m not so sure anymore. All my family and friends are keeping quiet and not saying anything. Secretly I’m hoping it might be a destination I haven’t visited before, like Dublin or Marseille.
I guess I’ll just have to wait…
A picture of my brother-in-law and I from last summer. I invited myself to his 30th birthday surprise trip to London that my sister organized. Oh, maybe he’s coming too…
So, this not feeling well thing kind of is my best friend at the moment. I took a shower and that woke me up. I actually dyed my eyebrows and painted my nail with Essie Leading Lady which is a burgundy red with glitter. I also cleaned my most used makeup brushes, most of them are Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman.. Got them in London and I love them. There are also a few Eco Tools brushes that I use on a daily basis.
Now I’m gonna get in bed and watch a movie on Netflix. I’m thinking What happens in Vegas with Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Have you guys see it?
And I did all this while listening to this song on repeat.

Ok, so I just got an email to go to Birmingham for something really fun. Unfortunately I can’t go as the event is happening at the end of November and I’m already booked that weekend. Typical! Although I love being busy, because it keeps me sane I don’t like the fact that I rarely can go away as a spur of the moment kind of thing.
Speaking of England, Boohoo has just announced a collection with Nadia Aboulhosn dropping in March, I’m super excited about that.
All burgundy, everything!!!
I did a post about some burgundy item a while back but my obsession has grown, immensely!
This is my absolute favorite color for fall. Last year it was army green, but this year I can’t get over all the pretty shades of burgundy. I haven’t gone totally crazy and bought every item of clothing in burgundy but I do have a few along with the burgundy bag, the lipstick and nail polish.
I did a quick search on Asos.com and these are some of the items I like, I even think I found my NYE dress.
Enjoy!!!
Before I show you more pictures from London and what I got I wanna tell you about this amazing person that I know. Her name is Stephanie and I first met her a little over three years ago. She’s from Australia but came to visit my hometown in Sweden. We have a friend in common. As soon as we met we hit it off straight away. I remember how I loved the fact that she was so free-spirited. She was silly too and that’s something I love about a person, we don’t always have to take ourselves super serious. Stephanie is simply amazing and I’m not the only one that thinks that. I finally had the chance to meet up with her this weekend in London where she lives now and let me tell you, it was a blast. We met up Sunday for lunch at Prezzo, which might just be my favorite new restaurant. After that we went shopping and ended up in Hyde Park with a few bottles of wine. Later that night we went to see, not so Big Ben and the London Eye, then walked along the Themse before we jumped on a bus out to Battersea and ended up at Steph’s place. There she showed me some of her paintings, and I loved every single one of them.
While shopping we also stopped by The Kooples store to look at the billboard in the store and also pick up the magazine. Steph is one of the models in it!!!
She’s also on a huge billboard in LA
