Catch up!

Hola!

How are you all!?

I’m just stopping by to say hello. I’ve been trying to get everything ready for when I’m away on vacation in the next few weeks, therefore the absence.

This weekend I got to spend some quality time with some of my fave before we all split up and head in different directions. Actually, while writing that last sentence I realized I get to see them when we are away as well.

Three weeks in Bosnia and Croatia is what I’m looking forward too…

What are you guys doing this summer. Are you traveling.

Sarajevo shopping

During my Sarajevo trip I only did a little bit of shopping. As I was traveling with only a carry on I couldn’t really but too much. These few makeup items I picked up were more because I needed them, than anything else. I did get a few more things but I left them at the apartment because I\m going back in  just a few weeks.

Here is what I picked up:

An afternoon in Copenhagen

This weekend I went to Copenhagen for a few hours. My friend and I were heading out for a meeting when we decided to go. It was super nice! I love being spontaneous and this turned into a great afternoon with a dear friend who I hadn’t seen in a while.

Copenhagen is a beautiful city, if you have a chance, you should go!

Can’t wait for summer to do more of these weekend getaways! We plan on going to Oslo as well!

The weekend

I spent the weekend spring cleaning except for a movie date, we saw Insurgent, with N and lunch at the grandparents house on Sunday. The struggle is real, let me tell you. I have way more clothes, bags, shoes than I can fit in my tiny walk-in-closet.

How was your weekend?

Happy New Year!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year!!!

Hope your new years eve was a fun night and you got to spend it with some amazing people. I know I did. Four days into the new year and I’ve already spend the first weekend away and in a hotel. Which isn’t even exciting anymore as I’ve spent more weekends in a hotel last year than at home. But needless to say the year has started out with a bang and I’m loving it.

My wonderful weekend.

After last weekend and the week I had I was really looking forward to the weekend. One of my childhood best friends Azerina was coming to see me and Saturday couldn’t come fast enough. She only lives an hour and 20 minutes away but life gets in the way a lot of the times and we don’t see each other as much as we’d like. I picked her up at the train station and we went to pick up lunch, then went back to my place where we chilled until it was time to go see Ami. While there we had some pancakes and hung out being girls and helping each other get ready. We had dinner reservations at Tabazco at 7.45 and stayed there until almost 11PM. Such fun times.

Azerina left around 1PM. I went back home and did the dishes before heading to go see my friend Nejra. But before I met up with her I did a little bit of birthday party supplies shopping. I think I’m almost done. There’s not much left. The menu is done as well and I know what the tables will look like. My sister is doing the cake, I don’t know what it will look like  but she promised to stick to the colors I’ve chosen.

Met up with Nejra and we walked around the Christmas market for a while and then sat down for a carrot cake and a chai latte. We sat in a corner on the second floor and didn’t even notice we were alone. All of a sudden this girl who works there comes over to tell us they closed almost 10 minutes ago. We headed towards the car and ended up sitting in Nejras car for another hour. I guess we had a lot of things to catch up on.

The rest of the evening was all about Chicago PD. Such a great show!

Here are some pictures I snapped this weekend (in no special order)

Hey, I’m back!

What amazing things three days with family can do!

I came home last night feeling rested and refreshed ready to take on the big bad world. This weekend was just what the doctor ordered for me. My heart is full and my body and brain rested. Chose not to blog while there to give myself time to enjoy it to the fullest. And that I did…

I got to spend some real quality time with my parents, went to see my aunt twice, had my cousin and his family over…the only bad thing about the weekend is that I only got to see my sister for like an hour…

Yeah, family time was what I wanted and that’s what I got.

Now, it’s back to business!

The trip didn’t start out very well, I was in traffic for about 20 minutes before even leaving my city limit.

Wedding time

Going to a wedding this weekend and I still don’t know what to wear…Actually I had it all planned out but then I tried on the dress yesterday and hated it…it’s so annoying when this happens.  I have three back-up options and I’m gonna bring all three, then decided the day of the wedding, which is this Saturday.

Hope all is well with you guys!!!

My weekend!!!

Love weekends like the one I’ve had. Minus the fact that I didn’t fall asleep until 4AM this morning.

The weekend officially started when Dina arrived. I picked her up at the station around 9.15PM. We went to get some food and then headed back to my house. Popped a bottle of white wine and just sat around until 1AM talking about everything. Saturday morning we woke up around 9AM and had a wonderful breakfast together and then worked the rest of the day. Later in the afternoon we headed to a soccer game, it was pouring down rain but we were good sports and stayed for the entire game. After that it was time for a bit to eat. Went home and chilled for a bit before changing and going back into town for dinner. Came home around 11.30PM but didn’t go to bed until 2AM. Sunday was a morning full of work and then I headed for lunch at Ami’s house. Came home much later than I had planned on and then sat down to do some more work. Around midnight I was super tired but wanted to finish and once I did I wasn’t tired anymore. Ended up staying up till 4AM…and then I fell asleep. When my alarm went off at 6.45 there was no way I was getting up. Went back to sleep and got up at 8.45, got ready and headed to work then…
